VARMA & VARMA, the firm of practising Chartered Accountants was founded on 17th June 1935 with its first office at Kochi (Cochin) in South India. The firm bears surnames of its two founders, Sri Kerala Varma Kochunniappan Thampuran and Sri Kerala Varma Kunhappan Thampuran, who were members of the erstwhile Royal family of Cochin. In the formative years, the firm was anchored by two other founder partners Sri K. Raghavan Nair and Sri K.R Kaimal, who as doyens in the profession laid the solid foundation for its growth. The three former senior partners Sri. P.Vijayan, Sri. S. Prabhakaran and Sri. K.K.S Nambiar, contributed immensely to the growth of the firm in later years through their high degree of professional expertise and dedication.

 
FIRM TODAY

There are twenty partners with Sri. Venugopal C. Govind, FCA as its Managing Partner. The  Central Office is located at Kochi in Kerala. The firm is presently operating in eight centers spread over the States of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in India.

      Each office is under the direct supervision of a resident Senior Partner in charge and bound together by the common adherence to the aims, philosophies, professional standards and practices.

There are 25 Chartered Accountants and over 100 trained and experienced audit staff assisting the partners. The firm has nearly 100 other trainees and also articled students  registered for Chartered Accountancy Course working as trainees. A large number of its staff have completed many years of active service and possess considerable professional expertise.
